BEIJING - Fifty million yuan (8.06 million U.S. dollars) has been allocated for disaster relief in southwest China's Yunnan Province where a landslide killed 46, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) announced Wednesday.

The emergency fund will be used to relocate disaster-affected people, subsidize their living, rebuild houses and used as solatium for family members of the dead.

On January 11, the Yunnan provincial finance bureau earmarked 10 million yuan for disaster relief.
