Sanmenxia stresses the role of chambers of commerce

Officials from the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) and Henan provincial government started their two-day inspection visit to Sanmenxia, Central China's Henan province, on Aug 1.

The delegation inspected service management in different chambers of commerce and visited local leading enterprises including Suda Electric Vehicle Technology Co and Zhongyuan Gold Smelter of Zhongjin Gold Corp.

Wang Qinmin, chairman of the ACFIC and vice-chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), spoke highly of the honest business culture and innovative electric car during the visit.

He further pointed out that the city's federation of industry and commerce should focus on improving their ability to serve different business associations so as to bring the initiative and creativity of non-public sectors into full play.

Liang Jing, vice-chairman of the CPPCC Henan Provincial Committee and chairman of the Henan Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, said, "We need to raise awareness on the importance of business associations and chambers of commerce, explore new ways to serve them and push forward the transformation of private enterprises."

Yang Shuping, secretary of the Sanmenxia Committee of the CPC, said, "Sanmenxia embraces a new spring in economy as the Shanxi-Shaanxi-Henan Yellow River Golden Triangle Regional Cooperation Plan has become a national strategy this year."

Yang concluded that "The city has made great efforts to work out the function of the federation of industry and commerce in bridging non-public sectors. Based on the inspection results, the local government will further advance its transformation process and develop Sanmenxia into an energetic and competitive city".

The golden triangle area consists of the neighboring parts of Shanxi, Shaanxi and Henan provinces on both sides of the Yellow River, namely Yuncheng, Linfen, Weinan and Sanmenxia cities.
