Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee recently announced that the plant construction of the Chongqing Nobel Fuji automotive engine and chassis assembly production pipeline project will be completed during the year, and is expected to be put into operation next year, with an output value of 210 million yuan ($ 34 million).
The Chongqing Nobel Fuji project is a joint venture with auto accessory manufacturer ORHAN from the Netherlands, AIHOME from the Seychelles, Gaosikang from Hong Kong and Nobel Fuji from Fuzhou.
The enterprise is located in Liangjiang New Area's Longxing Industrial Zone, covering two acres, with a total investment of $ 23.8 million. It's expected to go into operation in 2015, and aims to achieve a production goal of 1.2 million fuel filler pipes, 500, 000 power steering pipes, one million engine turbo pipes, and one million other accessories by 2016, with an output value of 210 million yuan.
Nobel is a wholly owned subsidiary of Orhan holding company, headquartered in Bursa, Turkey. It has 13 factories in Asia, Europe and North America. On December 2011, Nobel established a joint venture with Fuji Auto Accessory Ltd in the city of Fuzhou, Funjian province, which has three domestic branches in Liuzhou, Haikou, Chongqing.
Zheng Hongyu, project manager of Chongqing Nobel Fuji project said that the automotive industry plays a crucial role in the development of Liangjiang New Area, and it is an important pillar industry in Chongqing.
Industry insiders said that in the future, more than 80 percent of Chongqing's Auto manufacturers will be concentrated in the Liangjiang New Area. An official of Longxing Industrial Zone said that the Nobel Fuji car project would play a positive role in promoting high-end development of the auto industry, and to optimize Linagjiang’s industrial structure, as well as to promote the prosperity of the related industries in the district.
It's estimated that by 2020, Liangjiang New Area International Automobile City will reach an output value of 0.3-0.5 trillion yuan, and become an important base for the world’s automotive industry.
