LNA expects to finish 136 key infrastructure projects

Liangjiang New Area plans to finish the construction of 136 key infrastructure projects in 2015 with a combined investment of 45 billion yuan ($7.20 billion), according to an annual conference in Liangjiang. The amount invested in 2015 will amount to a 12.5 percent increase on the year before.

Liangjiang achieved fruitful results in its infrastructure development for 2014 and maintained a strong growth trend. Altogether, 132 infrastructure projects have been finished in 2014 with a planned investment of 40 billion yuan ($6.39 billion). According to the statistics from Liangjiang administrative committee, Liangjiang hasd an actual investment of 40.93 billion yuan, seeing an investment completion rate of 102.3 percent.

"In 2015, Liangjiang New Area will ensure it makes an investment of 45 billion yuan, as it strives to create a record number of infrastructure projects and total sum of investment," said Yang Zhihong, director of the Liangjiang construction authority. Liangjiang's planned infrastructure construction projects in 2015 will cover areas such as railway construction, electronic power construction and information infrastructure construction. As a key infrastructure project, construction on the Chongqing-Wuhan Highway revamp is expected to start in 2015.

Huang Zonghua, vice director of the Liangjiang administrative committee, stressed that Liangjiang has to promote reforms to its administrative examination and approval system, and strengthen the management of its infrastructure construction projects.
