A meeting between China Yangtze Power Co Ltd (CYPC) and Energias de Portugal (EDP) was held in Liangjiang New Area?on July 19 to discuss technological cooperation and share knowledge between the two energy enterprises in sales and the distribution of electrical power and energy resources.

Last October, CYPC and EDP signed a cooperation agreement for future cooperation in new energy, global water and electricity, technological research and development and talent exchange.

EDP ranks among Europe's major electricity suppliers, and is one of Portugal's largest business conglomerates. The company sent two experts to Chongqing Liangjiang Changxing Electric Power Co Ltd to provide technical education and suggestions for development.

Changxing Electric Power has adopted an efficiency management platform from EDP, as well as the advanced integration of distributed energy resources and services.

"User of the efficiency management platform have increased from six to 18 in a month," said a project head from Chongqing Liangjiang Changxing Electric Power Co Ltd.

Zhang Dingming, general manager of CYPC, shared that the two companies chose Liangjiang Changxing Electric Power Co Ltd to be their first cooperation because Chongqing is a pilot region for the country's electric power system reforms.
