Siming launches consumption season event
The one-month-long culture and tourism consumption season kicked off in Siming district in the coastal city of Xiamen in East China's Fujian province on July 1, aiming to boost the culture and tourism sector, which was hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The event consists of a wide range of online and offline activities such as sales promotions and livestreaming events, and a number of consumption vouchers were issued, which helped stimulate spending among consumers whose enthusiasm for consumption was affected earlier by the pandemic, and is expected to heat up the culture and tourism sector this summer.
Scenic areas in Siming have also utilized its cultural and historical resources to empower its nighttime economy to boost nighttime business.
