Journalists impressed by Xiamen's development
A group of journalists attended a media tour to Xiamen on Dec 13 to learn about the city's efforts in promoting innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as optimizing its business environment.

The group comprised journalists from more than 30 domestic media outlets, such as Xinhuanet, China Daily, Economic Daily and Huanqiu.
Located on the west bank of the Taiwan Straits in Fujian province, Xiamen is an important central port and scenic tourist city on the southeast coast of China.
The journalists visited several key enterprises in the city, including regional headquarters enterprises, scientific and technological innovation enterprises, and start-ups launched by entrepreneurs from across the Straits.
At a service center for Taiwan youth in the city's Siming district, the journalists learned about the efforts Xiamen has made in boosting exchanges between young people from both sides of the Straits, and the achievements the city has made in helping young entrepreneurs from Taiwan to start businesses in Xiamen.

The group also visited the Reconova Technology Company, which is based in Xiamen and focuses on artificial intelligence.
"Xiamen is an international city, which boasts a good entrepreneurial atmosphere, and excellent business environment, offering young entrepreneurs fertile soil for staring a business," said Ren Zhijun, a journalist from Huanqiu.
