Siming district in Xiamen, Fujian province won first place in the provincial evaluation of building a harmonious district last year, and is an example of Siming resident's champion spirit.

For Xiamen to become a national model city of civilization, Siming district has spared no efforts to push forward the 10 major rectification and improvement campaign since last year, including public health, market order, public facilities, the cultural tourism market, community management and construction sites, and has achieved remarkable results.

The district government has rolled out special measures to respond to the public's demands. Meanwhile, it has also launched a series of activities such as the volunteer alliance "1+1" action plan to actively mobilize people to participate in building a harmonious society.

The district has accelerated the deep integration of promoting harmony and urban governance by focusing on the construction of a five-level closed-loop management model of "district - department - street - community - grid".

Empowered by science and technology, Siming district has comprehensively promoted the construction of "Smart Siming", established urban service teams and developed online platforms to allow urban management services to be more intelligent and efficient, and speed up the modernization of the grass-roots governance system and capacity.
