Xiamen's film, television industry flourishing
In recent years, the local film and television industry has seen strong development in the coastal city of Xiamen, Fujian province.
On Dec 10, a modern urban suspense film held its opening ceremony in the city.

Hu Ruowei, chairman and general manager of Dingli Zhonghe (Xiamen) Cultural Industry Company, the first producer of the film, said that as a local film company in Xiamen, Dingli Zhonghe is committed to creating film and television works produced in Xiamen. The film will be entirely shot in Xiamen, and more than 70 percent of the scenes will be filmed in Siming district. It is hoped that this film will not only be appreciated by audiences but also help promote Xiamen as the Garden on the Sea.
In recent years, Siming district in Xiamen has seized upon opportunities to promote the development of the film and television industry and has rolled out a wide range of policies to boost the high-quality development of the industry. It has focused on key projects and major events and implemented measures related to talent attraction and cultivation, integration of industry and education, and financial support.
Siming district is currently home to 10,985 cultural enterprises, accounting for 41 percent of Xiamen's total. These include influential companies such as Hengye, Qijishan, and Doraemon Sound Workshop. With the continuous strengthening of the core competitiveness and influence of the film and television industry, Siming district has gained more and more recognition and praise from film and cultural enterprises.
