Chelsea's Eden Hazard beat a stellar list of contenders to be named PFA Player of The Year, becoming the second Belgian winner of the coveted award.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has openly praised his protégé with his latest quote being that it would take "£100 million" for "each leg" for the club to consider selling him in a rebuttal to speculation linking the winger with Spanish giant Real Madrid.

Lauded as the season's biggest discovery, Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane was voted PFA Young Player of The Year for his 30 goals for Spurs and one for England 79 seconds into his debut international appearance.

Veterans were not forgotten. Former England internationals Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard shared the PFA Merit award as perfect closure to their near two-decade Premier League careers, decorated with trophies, breathtaking goal-scoring moments, intra-club rivalry and talismanic leadership.

The midfield duo together formed the cornerstone of England's golden generation in the past decade but failed to deliver on the international stage, both retiring from England duty after a less than memorable 2014 Brazil World Cup campaign saw the Three Lions sent home after the group stage.
