Nations agree on draft resolution on DPRK N-test

Updated: 2009-06-10 22:39 UNITED NATIONS - The five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Japan and South Korea on Wednesday reached agreement on a draft resolution in response to the nuclear test conducted by the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, a diplomat said.
All 15 Security Council members are expected to meet on the draft resolution at 11:00 am EDT (1500 GMT) Wednesday behind closed doors, he said. Members are likely to vote on Thursday at the earliest, he added. |
