MANILA -- Eleven people were killed and four others were injured as a concrete wall of an under-construction warehouse collapsed in northern Philippines of Bulacan on Monday afternoon, a local official said.
The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. local time in Ilang- ialng Village, Guiguinto Town, Bulacan Province, said Josefina Timoteo, director of the Office of Civil Defense-Central Luzon.
Timoteo said the workers were on duty when the warehouse's concrete wall collapsed, pinning to death the 11 fatalities, including a boy who was playing near the wall at that time.
The four other workers in "severe injuries" were taken to Bulacan Medical Center, said the official.
Police, military and local rescue teams have been leading the search, retrieval and clearing operations.
