BAMA WELCOME

Residents of Monroeville, Alabama, gathered last Sunday to record a welcome video for an Alabama-China Partnership symposium set for Sept 26-27. The nonprofit partnership promotes strong diplomatic and trade links between China and the United States, particularly Alabama. Dozens of Chinese business leaders will attend the symposium to learn about investment opportunities in the state. Speakers include Ken Davies, former Hong Kong bureau chief for the Economist Intelligence Unit; Chanran Nair, author of Consumptionomics; and former US diplomat Nicholas Platt.
