Hanggai Big Band and Brass 2019

Inner Mongolian rock band Hanggai, the most sought-after Chinese band on the international music scene, is to stage the Beijing leg of their new nationwide tour featuring their 2019 album Big Band Brass this Sunday.

Built on the success of their debut album Introducing Hanggai, hailed as an "unmitigated success" by American online magazine Pitchfork, the Beijing-based sextet has been forging their trademark style by distilling everything powerful from Mongolian folk music and fusing it with modern styles such as punk rock.

Featuring an American jazz brass band, their 2019 album is the band's another bold effort to establish a new bond between eastern and western music.
