Anish Kapoor's first China solo almost over
Few can deny that the Indian-born British artist Kapoor is truly the winter darling among Beijing art lovers.
Unveiled in late October, the internationally sought-after artist's first China solo is all the rage in the Chinese capital, attracting "at least 4,000 people each day" according to a staff member with the CAFA Art Museum, which co-hosts the show with the Taimiao Art Museum.
Even A-list Chinese actress Zhou Xun released a set of photos in November she shot for the fashion magazine Vision, in which she posed beside Kapoor's giant installations at the CAFA Art Museum, setting social media abuzz over the show.
However, anyone who wants to be awed by the artist's gigantic installations and enigmatic stainless steel sculptures should hurry up as the Taimaio show will wrap up this Saturday and the CAFA exhibition will end on Jan 5.
