Music project releases 1st compilation with original songs
In October 2019, a music project titled Polaris International Song Camp was launched by Sony/ATV Music Publishing and Tencent Music Entertainment Group, aimed at offering international producers, singers and songwriters a platform to collaborate and guide aspiring musicians with a songwriting camp.
Almost a year later, the project will bring out its first compilation, in which a dozen new original music pieces will be included. The compilation will be released online through TME's major music streaming services, including QQ Music, Kugou, Kuwo and We Sing.
These musicians include producer and songwriter Fredrik Odesjo, also known as Fredro, from Sweden; and producer and songwriter Leo Jupiter from Finland. Both of them have worked with Chinese pop stars Lu Han and Wu Mochou.
Along with Modern Sky, one of the largest Chinese record labels, TME also announced a new song list gathering Chinese bands and singer-songwriters. The new songs will have Chinese rock band Miserable Faith featuring rapper Huang Xu, punk-rock band New Pants featuring rapper Gai, and R&B group Sugar Cat featuring rapper Vinida.
