China holds first Customs Salon with foreign reps
Business and customs officials from 25 diplomatic missions based in Beijing attended a salon on Monday promoting trade and common prosperity among countries along the Belt and Road.
Jointly organized by the Silk Road Cities Alliance and China Customs Brokers Association, the 1st Customs Salon is a non-profit platform with participation by officials from foreign embassies and consulates, foreign institutions and international import and export enterprises.
During the salon, Zhu Gaozhang, former customs counselor of the Chinese mission to the EU, explained the general legislation of China customs, cross-border trade supervision and core provisions of related laws and regulations.
He also introduced the structural adjustments, policy changes and their impact on China customs in recent years.
