Central China's Zhengzhou lashed by record rainstorms

The central Chinese city of Zhengzhou has been lashed by record rainstorms, receiving average precipitation of 457.5 millimeters within 24 hours as of 5 pm Tuesday.
Affected by the rainstorms, several residential communities in the city are without tap water and electricity.
Wang Guorong, a 30-year-old man living in a community on Zhongzhou Avenue, said the community has been without power and water from 4 pm on Monday and residents have to get household water from an outdoor pipe in the garden.
