China-UK publishing forum emphasizes cooperation and innovation
Wu Shulin said in his keynote China and the UK have a significant history of cooperation in academic publishing, and the opportunity to take an open stance should be seized, cooperation in information communication and exchange should be strengthened, close attention should be paid to new technologies in the publishing industry and that all should work together to contribute to the bright future of the world’s publishing industry.
Stephen Lotinga noted the importance of the partnership between China and the UK, saying the two countries have made many achievements in publishing cooperation through platforms such as the London Book Fair and the Beijing International Book Fair. He added the two countries should further deepen publishing exchanges and make new contributions to global technological innovation.
Lin Peng said high-level and high-quality technological publishing entails opening-up and cooperation to better serve the mission of technological innovation, and encouraged the promotion of the integrated development, transformation and upgrading of the publishing industry.
