BEIJING -- The Supreme People's Procuratorate has ordered the arrest of Qin Rupei, former vice-chairman of the people's government of South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, for suspected bribe-taking.
Qin's case was investigated by the National Commission of Supervision before being handed over to prosecutors, the SPP said in a statement on Monday.
Before his arrest, Qin had been expelled from the Communist Party of China and dismissed from public office for serious violations of Party discipline and laws.
