Exhibition puts China-Russian relations in the frame
Gao Zheng, Director of the Bureau of International Exchange and Cooperation, Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Director of the National Museum of China, attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition. Representatives from the Russian Embassy in China, from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Secretariat, from the Russian "Print Art" Foundation, from the Beijing Russian Cultural Center and of Chinese and Russian artists participated in the opening ceremony.
In his speech, Zhou Qingfu, President of the Chinese Academy of Arts, expressed that the Chinese Academy of Arts, as a national research institution, has always played an active role in cultural exchanges with Russia and Central Asian countries. He hoped that through this exhibition, by using prints as a medium, a bridge of art spanning China and Russia could be built, leading to a more extensive and close cooperative relationship with Russian art institutions in the future, contributing to cultural exchanges between China and Russia.
