State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company: Creates a safe charging environment, empowered green travel with power supply
"The indicator lights of the charging piles are clear and bright, and there is no abnormality shown on the operation interface. Charging can be carried out normally." On Nov 18, employees organized by State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company went to Gangtou Industrial Zone in Lutan town to conduct troubleshooting and system maintenance work for the newly built Yingxiang road new energy charging site.
At the site, power supply personnel checked the key parts such as the power supply lines, display screens, indicator lights and connecting parts of the charging piles one by one. They made good records of the inspection and eliminated potential safety hazards in a timely manner to ensure that the charging piles could operate normally and achieve the best charging efficiency after being put into use. Meanwhile, they also paid special attention to the heat dissipation systems of the charging piles as well as the waterproof and moisture-proof measures, and verified their ability to operate stably under various harsh environments.
Gangtou Industrial Zone in Lutan town, a key area in the layout planning of rural charging facilities in Wuyi county, not only has a large traffic flow but also has a large migrant population, and the demand for charging is extremely high. In order to actively respond to the national new energy vehicle development strategy and meet the charging needs of the vast number of residents, State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company has newly built 26 public charging piles in this area this year. Among them, the Yingxiang road charging station, as an important part, can meet the charging service needs of eight new energy vehicles simultaneously.
To fully meet the growing charging demands in rural areas, this year, State Grid Jinhua Power Supply Company actively assisted the local development and reform bureau in formulating a layout plan for charging facilities that conforms to the actual situation of the county. It plans to newly build 100 charging pile locations in local rural areas to further improve the charging facility network in rural areas. From January to October 2024, the number of public charging piles in Wuyi county has increased by more than 200, and the electricity consumption has increased by 63 percent compared with the same period last year. The number of personal charging piles has newly increased by about 1,650 households, with an installation increase of 73 percent during the same period, achieving full coverage in all the townships in the local area.
