Medium-voltage power vehicles deployed
A renovation project at Yuquanying in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, recently became the region's first operation to deploy medium-voltage mobile power generation vehicles of a different type, signifying a major step forward in the application of single-unit medium-voltage generators.
The 10 kilovolt 522 irrigation line, which traverses the entirety of Yuquanying farm, supplies reliable and high-quality electricity to 372 households. For this project, the State Grid Yinchuan Power Supply Co deployed a 1000 kilowatt medium-voltage generator, seamlessly operating it in parallel with another 1000 kW generator of a different model.
The operation involved two medium-voltage generators and two insulated bucket trucks, strictly adhering to standardized procedures at every stage. Following two grid connections, the project team completed non-stop line maintenance, ensuring an uninterrupted power supply. This accomplishment also sets a benchmark to establish a microgrid power generation system using medium-voltage generators.
To guarantee the project's safety and success, authorities in Yinchuan placed significant focus on meticulous preparation. They conducted thorough site surveys and formulated a comprehensive, standardized work plan, ensuring every step and aspect of the operation is safe, efficient, and controllable.
Looking forward, Yinchuan is committed to advancing its capabilities in power transfer and uninterrupted operations. Plans include upgrading equipment and enhancing cross-disciplinary collaboration in live-line operations, cable management, maintenance, and repairs.
These efforts aim to establish replicable and scalable models, contributing to the development of a more resilient and efficient power supply framework across Ningxia.
