While a new global climate finance target of $300 billion annually was agreed by the parties at the COP29, Vanke Foundation, a Chinese charity organization dedicated to promoting climate action in Chinese urban communities, also organized and participated in seven themed side events at the China Pavilion, the UN Conference Room and other venues in the Blue Zone.

Liu Zhenmin attended two side events jointly hosted by the Vanke Foundation and China Champions for Climate Action (C Team).

Wang Shi, founder of Vanke Group and chairman of Vanke Foundation, also spoke at these events, highlighting the successful implementation of the "Meisha Carbon-Neutral Community" project in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, and urging more entrepreneurs and partners to join in promoting the "Green Belt and Road" initiative to help make the planet greener and better.
