Li chairs meeting on civil aviation law, high-quality development
Premier Li Qiang on Friday presided over a State Council executive meeting, during which a revised draft of the civil aviation law of the People's Republic of China was discussed and approved in principle.
The meeting decided to submit the draft revision to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for review.
Stressing that safety must be prioritized, the meeting underlined the need to strengthen supervision and ensure that civil aircraft's transportation and production scales match the security capabilities.
The meeting called for efforts to continuously improve the quality of civil aviation services, tap the potential of the domestic market, implement major investment projects, enhance technological support and promote the high-quality development of civil aviation.
The meeting said that the global route network layout should be optimized and urged the civil aviation sector to promote international economic and trade exchanges and cultural exchanges.
The meeting attendees also heard reports on the inspection results of the authorities' work in promoting high-quality development and studied the ecological protection efforts in the Yellow River Basin.
Premier to hold '1+10' Dialogue with heads of major international economic organizations
Premier Li Qiang will hold the "1+10" Dialogue in Beijing on Monday with heads of 10 international economic organizations, aiming to enhance policy communication, assess the world's economic prospects, and contribute to improving the global economic governance system and driving common prosperity.
The 10 organizations are the New Development Bank, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the World Trade Organization, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, the International Labour Organization, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the Bank for International Settlements, the Financial Stability Board and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
Under the theme of "Building Consensus on Development to Promote Global Common Prosperity", participating parties will exchange views on topics including promoting global economic transition and growth, upholding multilateralism and China's endeavor to further deepen reform comprehensively, Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said at a daily news conference on Friday.
