An enchanting display of Chinese intangible cultural heritage welcomed both locals and foreign visitors to the Pingxiang Cultural and Art Center in Pingxiang city, Jiangxi province, on Dec 22, 2024.

The event featured a diverse array of Chinese intangible cultural heritage projects, captivating foreigners with the unique charm of Chinese culture. Skilled artisans showcased traditional crafts like Pingxiang paper cutting, sugar painting, and shadow puppetry. Performances of Chinese folk music, like Pingxiang Chun Luo and Jiangxi Lian Hua Luo, and guqin music delighted visitors.

At the event, foreigners explored Pingxiang's intangible heritage through calligraphy, guqin performances and traditional handicrafts. Participants expressed keen interest in sharing these cultural treasures with their families and friends.

The event facilitated cultural exchange between locals and foreigners, showcasing Pingxiang's intangible heritage. It inspired the Center to plan more events to deepen people's understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture.
