On Aug. 29, the opening ceremony of a picture exhibition commemorating the 70th anniversary of the world's anti-fascism war was held at the Gwanghwamun Square of Seoul, S. Korea. The exhibition is jointly sponsored by People's Daily Online S. Kerea Ltd, and Kim El-dong and Kang Chang-il, two congressmen of S. Korea.

In this exhibition, over hundred photos about atrocities of the Japanese army such as the Nanjing Massacre, Unit 731 Army, and the comfort woman, etc., were exhibited. It is aimed to let people of China and South Korea understand more of the aggression histories of Japanese army and the significant meaning for the victory of the world anti-fascist war. At the same time, it also spreads the message of “remembering the history, cherishing peace and looking forward to the future”.

Qiu Guohong, Chinese ambassador to S. Korea expressed that, both China and South Korea suffered from the aggression of Japanese imperialism, and both paid a heavy price to fight against the aggression of Japanese colonialism and made enormous contribution to the victory of world anti-fascist war. The reason why world can remain stable is the inheritance of painful experience and historical lessons of the Second World War.

Park Geun-hye, the President of South Korea, will visit China and attend the commemorative activities for the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggressions and the World Anti-Fascist War. Her visit would further deepen the Sino-Korea strategic partnership and exert an important influence on the regional stability and development.
