A collection of  more than 100 cultural relics of Western science and technology in the reigns of Kangxi and Qianlong (1681-1796) from the Palace Museum was exhibited in Shangdong Museum on Dec 1. This is the first time collections of the Museum have been put on display in other provinces.

The exhibition will last for 3 months, displaying astronomical instruments, mathematical tools, weights and measures, living utensils, medical appliances and clocks and watches. And most of the relics displayed are national gifts to the emperors from the ambassadors to China.

There will be 20 interactive programs during the exhibition, aiming to give audiences a better knowledge of the science and technological development during that period.
