從1985年開始，全國各地大興“五好家庭”評選活動。當時的“五好家庭”的標準是：政治思想好、生產(chǎn)工作好；家庭和睦、尊敬老人好；教育子女、計劃生育好；移風易俗、勤儉持家好；鄰里團結、文明禮貌好。
