第一周課程將會(huì)為大家整體介紹莎士比亞的一生和重要年代，通過(guò)兩段紀(jì)錄片帶你從他的出生地Stratford-upon-Avon到倫敦環(huán)球劇院。剩下的5周我們將每周近距離地欣賞一部莎士比亞的戲劇作品。我們請(qǐng)到了來(lái)自全球的莎士比亞專業(yè)演員，請(qǐng)他們?yōu)槲覀兘榻B莎士比亞的經(jīng)典戲劇《羅密歐與朱麗葉》、《哈姆雷特》、《無(wú)事生非》、《暴風(fēng)雨》以及《麥克白》。

我們的專業(yè)英語(yǔ)教師將在整個(gè)公開(kāi)課的過(guò)程中，帶你學(xué)習(xí)莎士比亞創(chuàng)造的英語(yǔ)詞匯和短語(yǔ)，以及這些詞語(yǔ)的影響。學(xué)員可以通過(guò)小測(cè)驗(yàn)檢驗(yàn)自己對(duì)課程的掌握情況，還可以參與到莎士比亞主題的討論中。

Exploring English: Shakespeare

8 August - 16 September 2016, 6 weeks

Our free, six-week online course will look at the life, works and legacy of William Shakespeare, while giving participants the chance to practise their English language skills.

The first week will look at Shakespeare’s life and times, using two short documentaries to take you on Shakespeare’s journey from his birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon to the Globe Theatre in London. For the rest of the course, we will look closely at a different play each week. Shakespearean actors from around the world will help us explain and explore the universal themes in Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing, The Tempest and Macbeth.

Our video tutor will guide you through the course and look at the legacy of words and phrases that Shakespeare introduced to the English language. Short quizzes will check your understanding and you’ll be asked to share your ideas and opinions on the topics Shakespeare raises.

The course will be run in partnership with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust.
