Approved by the State Council, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) is responsible for China’s participation in the Astana Expo 2017, which will be held from June 10 to Sept 10 in Khazakstan’s capital Astana.

The organization committee of the China Pavilion, approved by the State Council and led by the CCPIT and National Energy Administration, is in charge of the organization, coordination, preparation and management of China's participation the Astana Expo 2017.

Jiang Zengwei, chairman of CCPIT, is the director of the China Pavilion organizing committee. Wang Jinzhen, vice-chairman of CCPIT, and Li Fanrong, deputy director of the National Energy Administration, are the deputy directors.

The committee also includes the Publicity Department of the CPC, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Commerce, the China National Tourism Administration and the China Electricity Council.
